Yoga, Bodyrock.tv and results oh my!

I couldn't be happier that it is a new year! I love the feeling of everything being fresh and new and I love new beginnings! I am very goal oriented and don't make New Year's Resolutions but rather have a vision retreat with myself and set goals for: relational, physical, financial, spiritual, and for the home goals! Also, professional. Last year I quit smoking, gained about 15 pounds, re-established my relationship with my dad, became debt free-er (only one thing left), and started teaching yoga and interval training with bodyrock.tv! (toughest 12 minutes of my day but totally worth it since I am busy and it is the most effective workout I have ever done!)

Today I am thinking of this years' goals...
Continue to build my relationship with Daddy!
Spend copious amounts of time with the grand babies!
Continue on the bodyrock workout! Get stronger and healthier by really focusing on what I eat to fuel my workouts!
Finish my yoga certification!
Meditate on my spiritual journey with Jesus more quietly as to be led!
Pay off the Jeep so I can have Saturdays off with the family!!
Start the fairy garden, rip up the tile and carpet!

I am sure this is not an exhaustive list but it is a good place to start! Did I need to add that I will not buy any gifts this year but will make them all? I had better get to knitting!
Finish my yoga certification

My Latest Obsession!

Still I haven't blogged in forever! I have a new obsession! It is so wonderful I can't contain myself! PINTEREST! I am in the middle of refinishing a used entertainment center into a "new" play kitchen for the grandkids Christmas present at our house! I am also about to start a huge felt food endevor! They have to have it! They need it...ok...I just want to make them! I promise to follow up with pictures but I must go to Michael's to get started! Bye...

Spring and change...both are good!

Haven't blogged in a while because life has been so hectic! I have had a new grandson. Our first! He is perfect just like our three tiny girls! I have spent most of my days outside gardening! We ate our first home grown salad last night! Just our lettuce is ripe for the picking! It was really pretty!
I am knitting a lace shawl! I have tinked it three times! (tink is knit backwards btw!!!) All the way to the beginning! It will be really pretty and I intend to make several in pretty colors but this one is white!
Still, I am obsessed with cooking! I started a new hobby, if you can call it that, yoga! Last year I thought I would have to quit doing hair because my joints have been so painful but I am happy to report that I am much better and all because of yoga and Molly my sweet friend and yoga instructor! She is made of rubber and I am made of....well...something less flexible! I have made a lot of progress in that area though!
I have gotten to see some relationships grow where I thought they were "gonners"! It is amazing to me the healing power of forgiveness!! And thank God!
I will come back later with pictures of the garden and shawl but for now I must spend the morning outside as it is really pretty! Good Day!

The Princess Bride Part one!

Our first dance...ever! I love to dance and Steven told me that he doesn't. But he surprised me by being really good at it! What a special treat!
We hired the band that our Steve's best friend is keyboardist. Chris is fabulous as is the whole band! Yes, this is me in a dress made by my sweet friend, Norma, who will be getting a years worth of hair for making me feel so pretty! As is tradition for me, it had to flow when I danced and go wheeeee when I spin! Great job, Norma! I am not shy any time especially on the dance floor!

I really love him!

My face hurt from smiling and my lips were chapped from laughing allllll night!

Steven cried the whole time! I have learned that it is better out than in from him! I had my tears earlier in the day during decorating because I am ADHD and was very overstimulated! Laughing, crying, laughing, crying! Family and friends were so very helpful since I was pretty useless at that point! Because of the tears we decided to used the wedding scene from The Princess Bride and had the audience rolling as Carl said "Mawwaaagge, that bwessed awangement..." He used the whole scene throughout our ceremony and did the best, ever! My kids laughed and laughed as we have the whole movie memorized! Twew Wove....will last fowevew and evew! Amen!

Fun Is An Understatement!

Wow! Could our wedding have been more fun? Great family, friends, laughter and even firsts! My sweet new husband and I had never danced together until last night. He really swept me off my feet and surprised me with his smooth dance moves! Sweet!

Our friend, Carl, did the best ceremony ever! He started with lines from my all time favorite movie, The Princess Bride, the wedding scene! The audience laughed knowing I love it so! Then he surprised me again by working the "twew wove" into the rest of the ceremony! It was really special!

My favorite band played the reception all night! They rocked the house! I danced all night! Yes, my knees are sore as is the rest of me! Then....my brother, Garland, got up with the band and played his harmonica! Totally rocked my socks off! I think he is the best harmonica player in the world!!! Then we danced and he, too, swept me away!

My friends that helped worked so very hard to make my day perfect! I am so grateful for them! Then, all my friends from the salon showed up and rocked the night away with us to my delight!

I have so much more I could say but I will wait until I have pictures!

Princess Hair

Today I got to play with the most beautiful hair! Like a princess, Nicole, is awaiting her bridal portraits! This was no ordinary updo! Much spray...much prayer...more spray...rollers and a hood dryer!
Many pins...more spray...and a little sweat on my part.

You see, I really love Nicole and it was very important to me it turned out just as she wanted it to! We will recreate this look for her wedding day in June! Reason number one my wedding is in three weeks. I have lots of other brides to attend in June! This took more than three hours to create and I am so blessed that God answers the prayers of hairdressers! Thanks, God, she really liked what I did! I know it is because you helped me!
